Bai Sao Beach in July Weather and Swimming Safety
Editorial team · Checked 5 November 2026

In short
July is mid rainy season: hot, humid, with frequent showers and often rough seas. Bai Sao is reported to be sheltered, but currents can still be risky, so ask us on WhatsApp for the sea state that day.
What it is and who it suits
Bai Sao in July is rainy-season beach time: hot, humid, with frequent showers and often rough water across the island. Bai Sao is reported to be sheltered from the southwest wind, so it can be calmer than other beaches, but strong currents make swimming risky in some areas. Check the sea on the day and go in the morning.
Bai Sao is a beach about 25 km south of Duong Dong town centre, in An Thoi commune. It suits flexible travellers, families with older children and anyone happy to swim only when the sea is calm. Local sources say July is not the best month for a beach holiday.
What is included
A beach visit itself needs no ticket in our sources. Services around it belong to each operator, so we do not promise them. Ask:
- Is a transfer or a return taxi included in my quote?
- Are activities such as scuba diving or kayaking available on my date? Book them in advance to avoid long waits.
- Is there a fee for the fresh water shower, and what do I receive?
Price range
We hold no verified prices for this page, so we do not quote a range. Costs for showers, food, activities and transport depend on date and operator and are confirmed on WhatsApp.
How to book and what to check
Message us on WhatsApp with your date, base area and group size. We arrange it with local partners and confirm the exact price in the chat before you pay.
Check these before you go:
- Sea conditions: July seas are often rough, with strong waves and poor underwater visibility. Ask us for the state on the day.
- Getting there: about 25 km from Duong Dong, around 40 minutes by taxi. The road has a rough and difficult section.
- Parking: ask us.
- Best time: morning, before afternoon downpours. The dry season runs from about October to April and is more stable.
- Cash: there is no cash machine yet, so bring enough cash.
- Packing: a light rain jacket, umbrella, waterproof bags for electronics and anti-slip footwear.

Safety and conditions
Swim only when the water is calm. Strong waves, strong currents and reduced underwater visibility are common in July. Do not swim alone, and keep children within arm’s reach. After a storm, stay out, because the sea can change fast.
Sudden rain can come even in recommended months. Rainy season also increases mosquito activity, so use strong repellent, especially near forests. Wet surfaces and muddy trails are slippery.
